Purchase Prepaid Tokens

Legacy Prepaid Meters - For meters with a keypad where tokens must be manually entered. Ensure you have your Meter Number ready to complete the transaction. After making a purchase, a prepaid token will be generated, and an SMS with the token number will be sent to the registered cellphone number for you to enter into the prepaid meter.

Purchase Prepaid or Credits for OAMI Smart Metering

With OAMI Prepaid or Smart Metering, you can easily purchase prepaid tokens or credits. The purchase will be automatically loaded to your OAMI profile, eliminating the need for manual token entry. You can monitor your balance and usage directly on the OAMI platform, ensuring you stay in control of your consumption.

PAYMENT METHODS

Debit Order
To use the debit order option, complete the forms on our Documentation page and send them to our office for approval. If you're registered, click 'Debit Order Purchase' below.
Credit Card
For credit card payments, no documentation is needed—just a valid card. You'll be redirected to a secure, SSL-certified site to complete your purchase. Click 'Credit Card Purchase' to begin.
EasyPay
Protea Metering is now integrated with EasyPay, letting you buy electricity at outlets like Pick 'n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, Lewis, select ATMs, EasyPay's website, and more. You can also purchase prepaid electricity via MTN MobileMoney—just have your meter number ready at any EasyPay outlet.
EFT into our Nedbank Account
Deposits can be made into our Nedbank account from any South African bank (ABSA, Nedbank, FNB, Capitec, Discovery, Standard Bank). There is no transaction fee when using Nedbank.

UNIPIN
Protea Metering is now integrated with Unipin, letting you buy electricity at outlets like SPAR, SASOL, BP, ENGEN and SHELL. Unipin charges 6% of the amount purchased.
EFT FNB TO FNB
Make FNB-to-FNB payments until 18:00 daily; they may take up to 1 hour to reflect, with a limit of 1 payment per day. A R9.50 transaction fee applies, regardless of the amount.
